The Birmingham Awards: Second city comes together to celebrate 21 regional winners

Birmingham Awards 2023 Winners

The Birmingham Awards made their spectacular return on the 4th of November in the Holte Suite at Villa Park Stadium in a night that celebrated the finest individuals, businesses, and more. Organised by B Events, the ceremony recognised a stellar set of winners and achievements from across the city in what was a special night for Birmingham.

Hosted by Dan Kelly, the ceremony saw guests come from every corner of the region to celebrate the shining stars of the city. Judged by a dynamic panel over two days, finalists were handpicked as the best that Birmingham has to offer.

The black-tie event, now a mainstay in the local events calendar in its eighth year, served up a three-course meal and entertainment throughout the night.

Celebrating everything from charities and sporting initiatives to businesspeople and community champions, the full list 2023 Birmingham Awards winners are:

Bar/Pub of the Year – Albert’s Schloss

Charity of the Year – Noah’s Star

Independent Retailer of the Year – Butcher’s Block Bromsgrove

Restaurant of the Year – Orelle Restaurant

Young Achiever of the Year – Talisha ‘Tee Cee’ Johnson, Freelance Presenter/TV Producer/Filmmaker

Employee of the Year – Nav Ahmed, Arden University

Contribution to Education Award of the Year – Eddie O’Connor, Bishop Challenor Catholic College

Social Enterprise of the Year – Digbeth Dining Club CIC

Sporting Initiative of the Year – Sport 4 Life UK

Start-Up Business of the Year – Find Me A Solicitor

Small Business of the Year – Little Owl Tuition

Businesswoman of the Year – Marie Quarterman, The Education Network

Community Champion of the Year – Waheed Mohammed, Aesthetic Health and Fitness Club

Brummie of the Year (male) – Jamil Shabir

Brummie of the Year (female) – Joanna Lee-Mills

Businessman of the Year – Jonathan Chapman, Burns & McDonnell

Business of the Year – Clover HR

Entrepreneur of the Year – Shabir Djakiodine, Euro Accounting Ltd

Networker of the Year – Shane Traynor

Lifetime Achievement Award – Jean Templeton DL
