A Staffordshire accountancy firm is celebrating its tenth birthday.
Premier Tax Solutions was founded by friends and business partners Vanessa Fuller and Emily Precious back in 2015, when Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk was the biggest selling single and American Sniper was the highest grossing film.
Beginning their journey, after both training together and then working for one of the UK’s top ten accountancy firms, the two decided to go it alone. Starting from humble beginnings in Hanley, the business partners have grown their company to a team of seven as well as having two consultants.
With previous offices in Hanley and Cheadle, the Premier Tax Solutions team moved to the Business Lodge on Victoria Road in Fenton in 2023.
Their services include all aspects of tax and VAT management, as well as payroll and book-keeping services.
Director Vanessa Fuller says their sustained growth and longevity is down to their forward-thinking mindset.
She said: “Outside of work myself and Emily have been through a lot individually so we both know how important it is to be happy and what’s important in life. We both bring that mindset into the office.
“We of course want our clients to be happy, and we pride ourselves on giving that personal service to each and every one of them. We certainly distance ourselves from the misconception that accountants are stuffy or can’t have a laugh. We always get the job done but build up a good rapport with our clients in the process. Business is built on good, trustworthy relationships and that’s the same ethos we have with our staff.
“Covid taught us that you don’t have to be in the office to get a job done. Flexibility is key – we don’t care where our staff work from as long as the job is done and it’s done well. With the summer holidays around the corner our team know that if they need to juggle childcare, they will be given the flexibility to do so and work from home for the whole summer if they need to. This is what sets us apart and helps us attract the best staff, which helps us deliver the best service to our clients. We’re very grateful to our team and are all looking forward to what the next year brings.”
As they head into their 11th year, the business is adopting new technology to make managing tax easier for their clients as well as hosting free monthly webinars giving advice and support on all areas of tax management.
