The Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub is on the hunt for businesses across Greater Lincolnshire to take advantage of their Scale Up Support programme. Offering growing businesses the chance to work with experienced specialist advisors, this exclusive scheme has already helped almost 100 enterprises across the county to take their business to the next level.
This unique programme includes a business review, followed by tailored, highly-focused support to suit each business’s individual needs. The first round of this select service assisted a wide range of local businesses in achieving rapid business growth, and the second round, which began in July 2019, is already in high demand.
To be eligible for the Scale Up Support scheme, your business must have a minimum of five employees and had a turnover of at least £250k in the last year. Interested business owners should also be looking to grow their turnover and/or profit by a minimum of 50% over the next three years.
Blue Castle Energy, an environmentally-conscious waste management company, is just one of many Lincolnshire-based businesses that are thriving thanks to the Scale Up Support scheme. Based on the advice they received as part of the programme, Blue Castle Energy secured funding to develop a PVC recycling machine, which was a huge factor in the success of their recently-opened recycling centre in Long Bennington. The boost in profits led to the creation of three new jobs, and Marie Harley, CEO for Blue Castle, was recently invited to the House of Lords – alongside Lord Haskell and David Attenborough – to discuss the future of recycling and waste disposal in the UK.
Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, said: “Growth is exciting for all businesses, but it’s not without its challenges. Common issues include finding highly skilled employees to bring into a business, the need to access additional funding, and adapting to new consumer markets – all of which the Scale Up Support programme can assist with. It offers so much value to businesses with high growth potential and can help set a business up for growth beyond even their own expectations.”
