This appointment supports the firm’s continued investment in strong, experienced leadership to steer its tax advisory service.
Rob’s promotion follows a period as Co-Head of Tax alongside Paul Mustoe, who has successfully led Affinia’s Tax team for over 20 years. Their collaborative approach has been instrumental in shaping the current success of the Tax team, blending strategic insight with hands-on expertise.
Later this year, Paul Mustoe will transition into a consultancy role, where he will continue to provide valuable insights and support to both clients and the wider Affinia team. Paul’s ongoing involvement will ensure continuity and stability, maintaining the trusted relationships he has built over the years.

Rob brings over 25 years of tax advisory experience to the team, having worked with businesses of all sizes across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Affinia, he managed both a Regional and National Tax team at a leading UK accountancy firm, where he was recognised for his ability to navigate complex tax matters and foster high-performing teams. Since joining Affinia, Rob has held the position of Co-Head of Tax, working closely with clients and colleagues to deliver tailored solutions. He holds both the FCCA and CTA professional qualifications, testament to his commitment to the highest standards of practice and ethics.
