Visionary Events UK are hosting ‘Pretty Woman – Immerse Yourself: 30 Years On’ a charity event taking place on the 29th March 2020, at the Everyman Cinema Mailbox Birmingham. With a twist of going back to the 90’s, filled with classic iconic props and gestures from the film for all Pretty Woman lovers. The event will bring all guests into the world of Los Angeles to experience the premiere of the film, during the iconic scenes during the film, watch as it comes to life allowing guests to participate. It doesn’t end just there the event will be followed by raffles, a shop down the legendary Rodeo Drive and much more. All profit from the event will be donated to St Basils.
Pretty Woman was premiered 30 years ago, where this event will be to recreate and celebrate the anniversary of the film. Starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, an American love story between a rich businessman and a Los Angeles prostitute struggling to pay her way through life. Through social and love complications could they have the Cinderella happy ending…
Visionary Events UK has organised this charity event to raise money for the youth homeless charity St Basils based in England and Wales. St Basils work very closely with young people aged 16 – 25 to guide them through finding homes, increasing opportunities and growing skills and confidence to get them back on their feet. The charity helps over 5000 young people across the West Midlands where each year 1500 people are housed in the charity supported accommodation scheme. Between 2018-2019, 4,446 young people were helped through St Basils and 93% of those have moved on and planned in a positive way.
The team is a group of 6 young Birmingham City University students who are currently studying Fashion Business and Promotion. For their second-year module they have been given the project of hosting this event and fundraising from a £0 budget.
£5 a day helps St Basils helps support 1 young homeless person out of homelessness and the opportunity for a better future. Tickets for this event will give the help and support to 3 young people #YouCan.
