Penultimate day of £50k Top to Bottom of Ireland charity challenge

Samuel Attwell

21-year-old Samuel Attwell set out from Malin Head 9 days ago to take on one of Ireland’s toughest endurance feats, running to Mizen Head in just 10 days.

Taking on the challenge in support of children’s charity Molly Ollys, which already supports families and hospitals in both Dublin and Belfast, Samuel has raised over £43,000 so far towards a £50,000 target.

Having run through Donegal, Derry, Leitrim, Longford, Offaly, Tipperary, Limerick and Cork, with communities along the route showing their support.

While UK-based, Molly Ollys supports children across Ireland, including providing Olly The Brave books to Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, alongside granting individual wishes.

Funds raised from the challenge could help deliver up to 100 wishes for seriously ill children and provide vital comfort items for families.

Samuel aims to finish his epic challenge to Mizen Head tomorrow, Wednesday 27th May.
