Nottingham web design agency scoops four design awards

Strafe Office

Nottingham based web design agency Strafe Creative, is pleased to announce that it has won four design awards for one of its client projects – Tobacco Dock.

Earlier this year, Strafe was approached by Tobacco Dock, a premier London event space, to create its new online presence. The site has been live since the end of October and has now been critiqued by Strafe’s peers within the digital design community in the CSS Design Awards.

Designers, coders and creatives from across the world have judged the website, which can be viewed here, and awarded Strafe with the top accolade in four design categories – Best Innovation, Best User Experience, Best User Interface and a Special Kudos Award too.

Ross Davies, Managing Director of Strafe Creative comments: “We are proud of our work with Tobacco Dock and know that the new site is already having a positive impact on their business, which is fundamental to all our work. To have secured the project as a result of a competitive pitch process was a great result for the team and to now have our work so positively received by the design community is hugely satisfying. The Strafe team have done a great job!”

Karolina Chmielarska, Marketing Manager at Tobacco Dock comments: “I couldn’t be happier with our new site. It clearly states what our (at times complex) proposition is, and serves lots of information in a visually attractive and easy to find way. We have also received very positive feedback from a multitude of clients and stakeholders, so it is great to learn that the site has now also picked up four design awards.”

Tobacco Dock is one of London’s leading event spaces and encompasses a Grade I listed building in London’s historic Docklands. Built in 1812 as a hub for precious cargo arriving from the New World, over the past two centuries it has had many different uses, from storage facility to shopping centre. It was relaunched as an events space in 2012 and is now regularly used by global brands and their agencies to host everything from meetings for a dozen attendees to a global conference for thousands.

Since launching in January 2010, Strafe Creative has grown consistently, thanks to client wins including BP, Go Dine, Avakin, Tobacco Dock and Virtual Headquarters. It has also recently been named as a finalist for the second time in the Digital Entrepreneur Awards. The company will soon open a London office and a new Nottingham HQ.
