One of the world’s leading marine insurers, NorthStandard, headquartered on Newcastle’s quayside, has this week announced that Newcastle-based Head of External Affairs, Mike Salthouse, has joined the Board of Directors of Maritime London, underlining the P&I Club’s commitment to the trade association representing maritime professional services in the UK.
The move follows NorthStandard’s step up to ‘Foundation level’ membership of Maritime London, announced in February 2024. Funded by organisations including brokers, underwriters, arbitrators, recruiters and P&I Clubs – Maritime London works to ensure that the UK remains a world-beating location for maritime related business.
“Maritime London delivers an invaluable service to the UK’s maritime professional services sector,” said Salthouse. “I look forward to contributing to what is a highly effective advocate for the wider maritime sector.”
