An award-winning Shropshire venue is gearing up to host its last wedding showcase until the autumn, with new suppliers appearing for the first time this weekend.
Grade II listed Stockton House has a busy summer of weddings taking place, so the showcase on Sunday (MARCH 8) is the last opportunity for couples to see the 18th century Georgian venue as a showcase until October.
And for the first time suppliers including JOL Photography, JOL Videography and Through the Lens with Marvin Marius will feature as part of the showcase at the venue next to St Chad’s Church on the A442 between Telford and Bridgnorth.
Venue Manager Amy Applegarth said: “Our wedding showcases are always eagerly anticipated. This is our last one until the end of 2026 so we’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors to our amazing venue.
“Stockton House has become the go-to wedding venue for so many people who know that we always go the extra mile for our couples and that they are guaranteed a great day to remember, but we are still Shropshire’s best kept secret as we are still relatively new as a venue.
“Our showcase provides all the information that couples need in planning their wedding. We’re delighted to welcome some new suppliers for the first time this weekend as well as welcoming back other known and trusted suppliers too, giving couples a whole host of specialists on hand to answer questions and put forward their insightful ideas, which is always helpful.”
Couples are welcome to turn up to the showcase on the day or book a place to attend in advance.
It takes place from 11am to 3pm and will give couples the chance to see the venue set up in the latest décor trend for 2026 and sample the food and drink on offer.
Other suppliers on-site during the day will include a florist, cake maker, wedding dress, wines and champagne.
The showcase will offer the exclusive opportunity to view the ceremony areas inside and out, including the Secret Garden and Victorian Turning House, as well as meet the Stockton House Team.
The venue scooped a silver award in the Best of Bridebook Awards 2026 and 2025, recognising the excellent service provided to couples who got married or had their reception there during the previous year.
Other accolades include the Best Venue (Other) at The Wedding Industry Awards for 2024, just 18 months after opening, and National Highly Commended Venue (Other) at the awards evening in London for 2024. Stockton House was also named as finalists in the best team and best venue categories for the 2026 West Midlands Wedding Industry Awards.
The country house is situated in 8,000 acres of Apley Estates picturesque Shropshire countryside and has seven bedrooms. It was fully renovated during 2022 to be transformed into a wedding venue, having been a family home beforehand. Also in the Apley Estate is 1,500 acres of woodland, a further 3,500 acres of in-hand farmland farmed to high environmental standards and 3,500 acres of let farmland.
