New independent fast food chicken shop, Filthy Wings, are on a mission this Christmas to feed disadvantaged children in the local community.
With the cost-of-living crisis spiraling out of control, things may not be all merry and bright for everyone right now. The struggle is real, in warming our homes, paying our bills and feeding our kids!
So Filthy Wings, run by local businesswoman Shamim HM, has pledged to take 100 children under their ‘wing’ every day until the end of December to feed them for just £1!
Shamim says about the initiative, “it doesn’t stop there! We’re putting each and every pound straight back into the local community to contribute to, and support really important initiatives that allow our kids to stretch their WINGS and fly!”
“The team are making a list (and chicken it twice) of all of the amazing causes we will be helping such as sponsoring local football teams with kits or equipment, purchasing books for the local library. We would like to hear from the community We really hope we can make things a little bit easier for families in the run up to Christmas.”
Filthy Wings own brand of naughty humour and heavenly taste has proven to be a hit since it launched its locations in Castle Bromwich and Sparkhill. They have gained quite a following for their gigantic triple jointed wings grilled to perfection with flavours such as Smokin’ Texan, Sticky Korean and Dripping Buff.
For £1, children under 12 can get chicken bites or cauli bites, portion fries/tato tots and a fruit shoot.
The £1 promotion runs from Monday 5th December to the 31st December 2022 for children under 12. A maximum of a 100 £1 meals will be available every day at both locations for dine in only not for delivery.
