New CEO at Wyre Forest charity KEMP Hospice

Caroline Beech, CEO at KEMP Hospice

Wyre Forest charity KEMP Hospice are pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Beech as their new Chief Executive Officer. Having worked at the Hospice for over 10 years, Caroline will be leading the way in the development and strategic vision of the charity, with a key focus on the provision and accessibility of KEMP services to Wyre Forest residents.

Caroline began working at KEMP Hospice in 2011 and in April 2014 was successfully promoted to the role of Head of Finance and Infrastructure.  Caroline said “I joined KEMP Hospice after I had taken some time out from working as I had three very young children and I wanted to spend some time raising my family. KEMP gave me the opportunity to balance work and family life whilst also enabling me to develop my skills and leadership”. With 25 years’ experience working in a financial role, and over 10 years working at KEMP Hospice, Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge to the role of CEO, as well as a thorough understanding how KEMP serves the Wyre Forest Community.

Geoff Taylor-Smith, KEMP Hospice Chair of Trustees said “Following a rigorous application and interview process, as the Board of Trustees we were delighted to confirm Caroline as KEMP Hospice CEO. Her vast experience and existing knowledge of KEMP made her a natural choice for the role, and her exceptional passion and commitment will continue to drive the charity forwards for the benefit of the patients and clients who receive our care services.”

Looking to the future for KEMP Hospice, Caroline is already pushing forward on several projects for improvements, including refurbishments to the Hospice building, as well as a full redesign of the gardens, making both more accessible and functional for patients. Caroline is also keen to develop opportunities for collaboration and strengthening relationships across health, social care and voluntary sector partners. Caroline continued “Serving those in our community who need our help in some of the most vulnerable and traumatic times in their lives, is why KEMP exists. Working in collaboration will support us in being more accessible and inclusive for our community.”

Speaking about how she feels to take on the role, Caroline said “I am delighted to be appointed as KEMP’s new CEO. KEMP is well known and loved in the community, and I am proud to have been a part of this organisation for over 10 years”
