Motorcycle stunts, freerunning and monster trucks – all part of the excitement at Shrewsbury Live event

Thrilling motocross stunts, freerunning displays and monster trucks are the centrepiece attractions at this year’s Shrewsbury Live.

The event takes place on Sunday, July 3 at the West Mid Showground in Shrewsbury and other attractions include extreme mountain bike stunts, a funfair for children and food and drink vendors.

Shrewsbury Live is organised by the Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society and was first held in 2019. Tickets are on sale now and there is an early-bird discount for families wishing to buy in advance.

Jan Forrest, Showground Manager, said: “It’s a busy time at the showground, we have just held another successful Shropshire County Show and are now looking forward to Shrewsbury Live which promises a full day’s main ring entertainment for all the family.

“The monster trucks will be making a return. They are always popular with visitors of all ages and their stunning display needs no introduction as they have visited the showground on a number of occasions.

“Broke FMX, a motorcycle stunt team who have also visited the showground before and always delight the audience, will perform two displays and after each one will be available to meet visitors for a chat and have photographs taken.

“Freestyle motocross is a growing trend and Broke FMX features some of the country’s top freestyle motocross riders, jumping 35 feet in the air and completing acrobatic stunts over gaps approaching 100 feet.”

“This year we are delighted to welcome a Parkour and Freerunning display – an amazing spectacle which sees the three performers getting from A to B in the fastest way possible through a combination of strength, precision and co-ordination, flipping and leaping over any obstacle in their path.

“They will perform three 15-minute displays on the day and in between those the team’s fully qualified coaches will be inviting children to take part in coaching sessions – allowing them to get a feel for this exciting activity.

“We will also have the Extreme Mountain Bike Show, Europe’s number one mountain bike demonstration team led by the Multiple British and European Mountain Bike Trials Champion Danny Butler – so there really will be something for everyone.”

Advance tickets for Shrewsbury Live are £12.50 for adults, £25 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children), child tickets are £5 and under fives are free.
