Midlands photographer launches free photoshoot campaign for International Women’s Day 2024

Esteemed Midlands Photographer and co-founder of the IWD Conference and Expo, Edwin Ladd is proud to announce the dates for this year’s IWD Photoshoot.  As a gesture of gratitude to the women who have played a pivotal role in his journey, Edwin Ladd is hosting a free week-long photoshoot campaign at the iconic Grand Hotel Birmingham on 15th – 20th January 2024, aiming to capture the essence of empowerment and diversity.

Edwin started the campaign in 2021 just after lockdown to say thank you to all the women that had helped him in his life and business journey, with the support of Charlene Wall and Naomi Spencer, Edwin has gone from photographing just 50 people to 150 people and this year hopes to photograph over 300 people as part of the campaign. The offer of a free photoshoot is open to anyone who wants to take part, regardless of their job title or employment status.

How to Participate:

  • Interested individuals can register for the free photoshoot session on this link http://tinyurl.com/IWDPhotoshoot24
  • Sessions will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Participants are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #IWDshoot24

All the photographs will be professionally edited and can be used by individuals to promote themselves and what International Women’s Day means to them.

In addition to the photoshoot Edwin has teamed up with event expert Kasim Choudhry to launch the IWD Conference and Expo at the Millennium Point on 8th March 2024.

It promises to be an immersive celebration of empowerment, diversity, and innovation. An opportunity to engage with influential speakers, attend transformative sessions, and connect with a dynamic community shaping the future.

Kasim Choudhry the creative director of Thinkfest event also sits as the President of Future Faces Chamber of Commerce and said “For year’s I have been frustrated with the lack of men engaging in IWD events and I wanted to create a safe space for men and women to come together and forge an alliance for greater gender parity”.

The conference will be headlined by Karen Millen OBE, a renowned fashion designer and businesswoman, who has made an incredible mark in the global fashion industry with her eponymous brand known for its sophistication and timeless style. Other panellists and speakers include Mayor of West Midlands, Andy Street, and CEO of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, Henrietta Brealey, the youngest female to hold this post.
