Bedfordshire business-woman Melanie Llewellyn has won an award from TV’s Dragons Den’s business mogul, Theo Paphitis.
Melanie was selected from thousands of entries by Theo as a ‘Small Business Sunday’ (SBS) winner in the summer.
“I was absolutely thrilled to find out I was a winner,” says Melanie. “I was invited to the SBS event last month (23rd February) at the ICC in Birmingham to meet Theo who presented me with my award.”
The SBS awards recognise small businesses that are making a big impact. Melanie’s marketing agency helps small businesses get exposure and sales through a range of services including branding, web design, SEO, Google ads, and social media management & advertising.
Melanie launched ML Consultancy four years ago offering local businesses a marketing consultancy service. It has evolved into an agency and is now a team of eight. Her clients include restaurants, charities, salons, accountancy firms, and tradespeople.
Melanie’s advice to anyone thinking of starting their own business is to collaborate and connect with other people and businesses, be an opportunist, and be resilient.
