Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), owners of Lord’s Cricket Ground – the world-famous Home of Cricket – and Artlume, the digital art and content streaming platform from We3World, today announce a landmark global licensing partnership.
The partnership, a first of its kind in cricket, allows fans to transform their TV screens into dynamic galleries showcasing iconic Lord’s imagery and historic cricket moments. Using Artlume, cricket supporters around the world can display curated visual collections that celebrate the heritage, atmosphere and enduring cultural impact of the game.
Artlume enables fans to turn everyday screens into passion-led visual experiences, while giving sports organisations and brands dedicated “shop-in-shops” to share premium content directly with audiences. The platform operates across four core sectors – sport, gaming, entertainment and mindfulness – and is building what it describes as a “digital shopping mall of visual content.”
Through the Lord’s partnership, fans will gain access to specially curated collections including classic cricket portraits, art and satire, vintage postcards, historic photography and traditional cricket-themed cigarette cards. Founded in 1814 at its current site, Lord’s is the Home of Cricket and the headquarters of MCC, Guardian of the Laws and Spirit of the Game.
Patrick Ashworth, Founder of We3World, said: “Lord’s represents the very soul of cricket, and we’re incredibly proud to help bring its visual heritage into fans’ homes around the world. Artlume was created to help people surround themselves with what they love – and this partnership does exactly that. Fans can switch on their TVs and instantly experience the history, emotion and beauty of the game in a powerful new way.”
Andy Muggleton, Commercial Director at Lord’s, said: “This partnership allows us to present Lord’s in a completely new digital format, bringing our rich history and iconic imagery directly into fans’ homes. Artlume gives us an innovative way to engage global audiences, unlock new commercial opportunities and extend the Lord’s experience far beyond the ground itself.”
The agreement supports Artlume’s wider ambition to unlock premium visual archives from the world’s most loved fandoms, creating new creative and commercial channels for rights holders while connecting fans to the content they care about most – through screens they already own.
Artlume will shortly announce further partnerships as part of its growing Exclusive Bundles programme, spanning sport, gaming, entertainment and mindfulness, as the platform continues its expansion as a global destination for immersive visual content.
