A brand-new immersive event is set to launch on Thursday 15th of September at Gaucho Birmingham. The first ever Long Lunch will see special guests Andy Goode and Laura Keates kick things off, with one final speaker still to be announced.
Long Lunch, founded by former rugby professionals, Martin Olima and Nick Baxter, is a bespoke sporting luncheon that aims to bring together link-minded people for both an entertaining and educational evening.
Nick, Co-Founder of Long Lunch, said: “So much work has gone in to setting up Long Lunch and we’re now pleased to be able to share news of the launch with everyone.
“Both myself and Martin have attended hundreds of events over the years, and we have always seen the potential for a more immersive experience, and this is exactly why we are starting Long Lunch.
“Thanks to our access to national and international sporting personalities, we’re able to host events that are sure to capture the imagination of all attendees and spark interesting conversation. During this event, we will be looking at a year to the Rugby World Cup, what it takes to win in France and a preview of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. The latter could not be timelier thanks to the heroics of England’s Lionesses, which is sure to inspire more women to get involved in sport, particularly here in England.”
All guests will be provided with an afternoon of entertainment including an amazing a three-course meal and wine. Before the brilliant guests take to the stage for an interactive Q&A session. The two former internationals will provide their insight into the men’s and women’s world cup providing expert opinion from the very top of the game.
Following Long Lunch in Birmingham a London event will soon follow, with more information to be announced in due course.
