Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) is looking to recruit its next leader of Adult Mental Health services to take forward an ambitious redesign of services and deliver its new strategy – Step up to Great – a Quality Improvement Plan for adult and older people’s mental health services.

With a budget of £54 million and over 1180 whole time equivalent staff in the service, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust’s Adult Mental Health is a major provider of specialist inpatient and community services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. LPT works collaboratively in innovative ways with partner organisations and was one of the first Trusts in England to operate a joint mental health triage car with the local police force.

Dan Norbury, Head of Employment Services at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust says “Over the last 18 months we undertaken a major co-design of our mental health services with staff, service users and patients. We are bringing these recommendations in our Trust-wide strategy – Step up to Great, to a clear plan for adult and older people’s mental health services.

“We are now seeking an exceptional leader in this field, with proven experience of leading mental health services and managing transformation in a complex organisation, to lead our improvement journey. This is a demanding role and requires someone with the resilience to manage services that are under pressure and scrutiny. We need someone who can build on our success, identify what needs to change, and make the changes happen.”

“In return, we offer a great place to work. We have a culture of continuous improvement and recognition, where collective leadership empowers high performing, innovative teams. We offer excellent opportunities for development and career progression, as well as a supportive work environment to help staff maintain a healthy work/life balance. We look forward to receiving applications from leaders looking for their next career move, who are committed to driving forward our plans for mental health services.”
