Leicestershire farm launches vintage furniture showroom

Carolyne Buxton

Leicestershire based online vintage and industrial furniture retailer, Very Vintage, has launched a customer viewing barn at Cote Hill Farm, Husbands Bosworth. The grand opening took place on Sunday 29th September, supported by local business owners, friends, family and fellow farmers.

Formerly a tractor shed, the 2,000 sq ft the barn has been completely transformed into a stylish, bright and spacious showroom for customers keen to find rare gems or unique pieces for their home or business. It will be open every Sunday from 10am to 1pm and by appointment from Monday to Saturday, to complement Very Vintage’s already successful online business.

Specialising in old and new vintage furniture, VeryVintage.co was launched by local entrepreneur Carolyne Buxton in 2016. Initially the business sold items sourced at auction or from a range of suppliers online via eBay and Shpock. Earlier this year the business underwent a rebrand and website launch and this new showroom is the next step in its growth.

Very Vintage Founder and mum of two, soon to be three, Carolyne Buxton has worked solidly with her partner for the past few months giving the barn a full makeover – concreting, redecorating, cleaning, sourcing and preparing furniture.

On the opening Carolyne commented: “It’s been fantastic to see so many of our friends and family come out and support us. We’ve worked so hard to get it all to come together and we’re really pleased with how it’s turned out. It’s a great space for people to come and have a browse and a cuppa on a Sunday morning. We’re aiming to showcase more of our furniture and complement our online offer.”

Cote Hill Farm, will continue to operate as a working farm, while also providing a perfect rural setting for Very Vintage to show special pieces and invite customers to view and collect online purchases.

Very Vintage viewing barn will be open every Sunday from 10am to 1pm and by appointment from Monday to Saturday. For more information visit: www.veryvintage.co or follow Very Vintage on Facebook or Instagram.
