Leeds-based homecare company expands into Bradford

A family-run homecare company has announced plans to create at least 20 new jobs over the coming months as it extends its service into Bradford.

Caremark Leeds Bradford already employs 120 people and is now seeking to attract more carers as it begins providing its homecare services in Bradford.

This is as a result of increased demand for its services from publicly and privately funded clients across Leeds and now Bradford.

Caremark Leeds Bradford, which is run by Managing Director Farina Tayub with the support of her Care Manager daughter Thameena, recently moved to new headquarters in Leeds on the Quayside Business Park on George Mann Road having outgrown its previous premises in Headingley.

And it has also now opened a satellite office at the Euroway Industrial Estate in Bradford.

Farina said: “We were already providing our homecare services up to the border between Leeds and Bradford, so it was a logical step to extend into the city itself.

“This forms an important part of our growth plan, and we are now looking forward to helping even more people to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes.

“We have a great team at Caremark Leeds Bradford and are now seeking to attract more carers to help us provide the care in Bradford.”

The support Caremark Leeds Bradford provides ranges from simple things such as helping with meals and household chores, through to more complex care for people with disabilities.

Farina, who set up Caremark Leeds Bradford in 2008, said: “We want to continue growing in the right way and this means having carers who enjoy their work and see caring as a career and not just a job, receiving excellent training, pay and benefit and clear progression.

“We can offer part-time hours and flexible working arrangements. It’s a great chance to have a really positive impact on people’s lives as well joining our family-run company which genuinely cares.”
