John Lewis shoppers raise £1,000 for Royal Star & Garter at Solihull store

More than £1,000 was raised for Royal Star & Garter by John Lewis & Partners shoppers in Solihull.

They voted for the charity in the department store’s Community Matters scheme in autumn last year.

The £1,014 raised money will go towards a new minibus for the Royal Star & Garter Home in Solihull.

The Community Matters scheme sees John Lewis & Partners donate money to local causes chosen by customers, who vote with green tokens.

Director of Supporter Engagement Caley Eldred said: “We’re very grateful to John Lewis for their support, and to their shoppers for raising more than £1,000 for the Solihull minibus. This will greatly benefit the residents, helping them on go outings and to important medical appointments. I know they will want to thank everyone who voted for us.”
