This June, KEMP Hospice are declaring it’s ‘your night to shine’ at their brand-new event, the Starlight Hike. On Saturday 18th June, they’ll be bringing the party atmosphere for an evening event to remember, with highlights including a 5k walk in the starlight through the heart of Kidderminster, entertainment, and a party atmosphere.
As well as the 5k walk, there’ll be street food vendors and entertainment to get you into the party spirit. During the walk there’ll all be a very special stop at KEMP Hospice, to share memories and messages for your shining loved ones on a memory wall. All registered participants will also receive a special edition Starlight Hike medal and certificate.
Jayne Sargeant, Fundraiser at KEMP Hospice said “This really is going to be a special event. After the challenges everyone has faced over the last few years, we want to bring the party back, and give everyone a fun filled evening. We can’t wait to see everyone with their friends and family, soaking up the atmosphere and creating memories that will last a lifetime”
With thanks to support from Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, the evening will start at the Harriers Football Ground and will include entertainment, street food and a licensed bar. Once the sun sets, the 5k walk will commence, taking everyone through the heart of Kidderminster. When reaching KEMP Hospice, there’ll be a very special Starlight Memory Wall where everyone can write a message or share a memory for loved ones who are no longer with us.
Jayne continued “Our Starlight Hike is a wonderful way for the community to not only get together, but also support KEMP Hospice, as every penny raised will help us to continue to provide our care and support services. We never charge for our care, so each year KEMP needs to raise around £1.5m to continue to be here for people when they need us.”

Early-Bird tickets are available for a limited time on the KEMP Hospice website for £15 per person. Anyone who also raises £25 or more in sponsorship will receive a very special KEMP T-Shirt, raise over £100 and you’ll also receive a special balloon and glitter face painting on the night to show everyone you’re a star fundraiser!
