One of Birmingham’s most scenic lakeside spots has been given a sophisticated new lease of life as Resorts World officially unveils the spectacular refurbishment of the Lake Lounge. Known for its floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping views, the venue has shed its former nightclub skin to emerge as a stylish, contemporary destination for the city’s celebrations.
The “glow-up” has completely reimagined the space, with a fresh, airy palette of deep blues and burnt oranges. Designed to make the most of the natural light that floods in over the water, the lounge now features a clever mix of plush carpets and floorboards which softens and zones the space.
The transformation isn’t just about the décor; it’s about creating a space that feels right regardless of the time of day. The space has always boasted a private bar and DJ booth, but now new, plush full-length curtains mean the “party” elements of the room can be tucked away for a sophisticated lunch, baby shower or afternoon event, then revealed at night to create a high-energy atmosphere for milestone birthdays and celebrations.
With full air conditioning, its own sound system, and bespoke lighting, the venue is set to become a firm favourite for those looking to host everything from intimate private dinners for 30 people to wedding receptions and birthday bashes for 150 people.

To celebrate the grand reopening, the Lake Lounge is launching a series of limited-time offers for those looking to host an event this year. Guests can secure private dining from £45 per person or evening party packages from just £29 per person – a price point designed to bring a touch of luxury to the city’s social scene. These rates are available for bookings made by 28th February 2026, covering event dates right through the summer until 31st August.
