How tech-savvy is your business? Find out with Business Lincolnshire’s free Digital Health Check!

With the Lincolnshire digital sector now worth almost £1 billion, when it comes to technology it’s more important than ever that businesses stay ahead of the curve. That’s why the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub has launched its free Digital Health Check, so that businesses can self-assess their digital capabilities and discover ways that technology can help them to work smarter.

The Digital Health Check takes just 15 minutes to assess five key areas: e-commerce, digital strategy, ICT, digital marketing strategy and implementation. As well as immediately providing a personalised report of a business’s technological strengths and weaknesses, the tool can recommend handy resources to help businesses embrace digital and reach new heights of success. These resources include everything from how-to guides to ways of building or refreshing a business’s digital strategy.

The goal of the Digital Health Check is to encourage businesses across the county to take further advantage of technology, unlocking their potential and helping their business to expand. In this increasingly digital world, it is essential for all businesses to have easy access to online tools that support growth. Examples include digital marketing tools such as e-newsletters and social media scheduling programmes, or internal processes such as CRM systems and cloud management software that can make their workforce more efficient.

Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, said: “We know that there’s a need among businesses across Greater Lincolnshire for digital support, but it can be difficult to know where to start or what to prioritise. We’ve created an exciting and practical tool so businesses can access how they are currently using technology and access guidance on how to develop their digital capabilities in the future.”

The latest Digital Landscape Report revealed that Lincolnshire’s digital sector is one of the fastest-growing in the UK. The sector is now worth £992 million, a rise of £213 million in just two years, with 8,250 people currently employed in digital roles across the county.

The theme of this year’s #GoDigital event – which took place at the DoubleTree Hilton on 21st November 2019 – was ‘Digital Tools and Tricks for Transformation,’ with a focus on practical tips that attendees could use in the day-to-day running of their business. The event was attended by over 100 people, showing a clear desire for businesses to stay up-to-date with the latest technology.
