A hospice has teamed up with two solicitors’ firms to provide a special Will writing scheme next month.
Write a Will Month, led by St Richard’s Hospice, is set to return in February with Bradley Haynes Law, Worcester, and WLS Solicitors, Malvern.
The scheme will see the participating solicitors offer a single Will for £95 and a double for £150 – with 100 per cent donated to the Worcestershire charity.
The month-long campaign aims to help the hospice continue funding its care to patients and loved ones, while raising awareness of the importance of writing a Will – a document setting out how people want their money, property and possessions to be distributed after their death.
Ria Simons, Hospice Fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to run this popular scheme once again and would like to thank the solicitors for donating their time for free.
“We understand that for some writing a Will can seem daunting – however it should not be an intimidating process.
“Once you have your Will in place it can bring peace of mind to know if you died, everything is in place for your loved ones.
“We hope our campaign will encourage people to take the first step and book an appointment, while helping to tackle the taboos around preparing for the end-of-life.”

St Richard’s Hospice cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days. It also supports their loved ones.
Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,400 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.
St Richard’s is an independent charity and relies on donations and gifts in Wills for the majority of its income with 22% funded by the NHS.
The hospice is also raising funds for the Build 2020 Appeal and is part way through developing a bigger hospice, enabling more patients and families to be cared for in Worcestershire. The total cost for expanding and redeveloping the existing building in Wildwood Drive, Worcester, is £5.3m.
