Harris Lamb has signed a sponsorship deal with Worcester United Women’s FC as part of its commitment to supporting grass roots sports.
The business will be the home kit front sponsor for the team, which plays in the Mid West Counties Division One, for the 2026-27 season.
Lauren Allcoat-Hatton, Director at Harris Lamb’s Worcester office, has played as a Striker for the club since 2024, and said she and her team-mates were delighted the business had given them its backing.
“We have worked really hard over the past few years to build the team to what it is today, improving year on year and finished our best season to date last year in terms of goals and league position, where we placed fifth in a league of 14 teams,” she said.
“Support from local businesses is vital for clubs like ours, so I was really pleased when Harris Lamb agreed to come on board as our main sponsor. I spoke to colleagues on the charity and sponsorship committee about the club, and they were keen to support what we’re trying to achieve.
We’re incredibly grateful for their backing and look forward to representing Harris Lamb throughout the season.” she added.
Marc Kings, manager of the team, said: “We’re incredibly proud to welcome Harris Lamb to the club and thank them for their support. We look forward to having the Harris Lamb brand on the front of our home shirts throughout the season.”
James Van Nijkerk, of Harris Lamb’s charity and sponsorship com team, added: “As a business we are committed to supporting local sports teams and at all levels throughout the wider Midlands, but this is the first time we’ve sponsored a women’s team.
“Worcester United Women’s FC have put in a fantastic performance over the last few seasons and we are proud to pledge our support. I know a number of our colleagues will make time to head to Hallow Playing Fields to cheer the team on in the coming months and we wish them the best of luck – here’s to securing an even higher place in the league next year.”
The team’s first home fixture will take place on September 27th against Kingfisher FC Women at 2pm.
