Gootopia is excited to announce the launch of its newest store in Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth. Located next to Cineworld on the first floor, the new 3003-square-foot store features the vibrant and playful interior styling of designer Siobhan Murphy, best known for her appearance on Alan Carr’s Interior Design Masters.
A VIP launch party will be held to celebrate the opening on Wednesday 24th July. Steph McGovern, Co-Founder of Gootopia and host of Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4, will host the event, alongside Founders Nishi Bowan Saville and Chris Saville. Influencers, VIPs and Press will all be invited to celebrate the opening of the flagship store and will be treated to free slime making, delicious snacks and treats, face painting, fantastic goody bags and the opportunity to win big prizes!
What’s new at Gootopia?
- Two New Party Rooms: There are amazing new spaces perfect for childrens’ birthday celebrations, themed parties and private gatherings.
- A Large Workshop Room: A specially designed space to accommodate larger groups and school trips, perfect for hosting fun and educational activities such as school science workshops.
- Regular Workshops: Slime workshops, school science workshops and messy play sessions for children will be hosted during weekdays. Adults can also enjoy the occasional slime & wine evenings, combining slime-making and wine tasting.
- A New Food and Beverage Cafe: Opening later in the month, the cafe will offer a fantastic selection of affordably priced specialty coffee and teas, baked goods and snacks. The menu also offers special deals such as free refills on filter coffee.
Gootopia’s co-founder Nishi Bowan Saville, says: “We started Gootopia as a pop-up to test out our concept, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Kids of all ages absolutely loved it. With our new location at Southside, we are excited to finally realise our vision of an incredibly playful space that kids and grown-ups will love.
“The new venue is like no other space. It’s like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory meets Alice In Wonderland, wrapped up in a slimy gooey paradise!
“These are amazing new spaces for workshops and parties, along with a fantastic selection of good quality food and drinks for both parents and kids. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome everyone to Gootopia. We believe our guests are going to absolutely love it and have the slime of their lives!”
Gootopia founders Nishi Bowan Saville and Chris Saville, originally opened Gootopia at Southside after winning a pop-up space in the Completely Retail SoapBox competition last April, beating out 200 other brands. Gootopia has now found a more permanent home at a much bigger venue to continue providing amazing experiences to both kids and adults.
