Fortem announce new Chief Operating Officer to kick off 2024

Chris Tredget

Fortem has announced that Chris Tredget has been appointed chief operating officer for the business to kick off the new year.

Chris will be replacing Mike Hart, who began his retirement at the end of 2023 after more than two years with Fortem, and revolutionising the company. Chris has big boots to fill, and plans to keep the momentum going for Fortem. Prior to joining Fortem, Chris was managing director for Willmott Dixon’s construction team serving customers in London and the East. Fortem is part of the Wilmott Dixon Group.

Chris started at Willmott Dixon in 1982 as a trainee and had a number of operational roles before being appointed managing director in 2009. While there, he oversaw significant growth in turnover and profit as the region grew its workload in both the public and private sectors, delivering residential, leisure, office, emergency services, defence, and education buildings.

Commenting on his new role, Chris said “I am looking forward to seeing Fortem grow as a valued member of the Willmott Dixon group. Fortem has strong company values and is home to a team of outstanding individuals, whom I am eager to work with. In 2023, we made 350,000 homes safer and more comfortable through repairs and maintenance in occupied properties, completed 62,000 emergency repairs, and installed 1600 new boilers. I am confident that 2024 will be even more successful.”
