Flybe highlights 2019 seasonal trends

  • Airline will operate over 4,000 flights during festive period
  • 54 flights added to and from Southampton to meet holiday demand

This weekend marks the beginning of the 2019 festive getaway and teams across Flybe’s 11 bases are gearing up to operate 4,169 flights across 99 routes between Friday 20th December and Sunday 2nd January 2020.  Based on existing bookings, the 20th and 23rd stand out as some of the busiest days as people head off for to enjoy seasonal celebrations. Travel demand peaks again after Boxing Day and prior to the New Year, once ore keeping everyone on their toes.

Flybe’s top five busiest airports will be Birmingham, followed closely by Manchester, Belfast City, Southampton and Edinburgh; and included amongst its busiest routes are Birmingham and Manchester to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

Flybe’s top five routes are:

  • Amsterdam – Birmingham
  • Edinburgh – London Heathrow
  • Belfast City – Manchester
  • Belfast City – Birmingham
  • Edinburgh – Southampton

The airline has also boosted its 2019-20 Winter schedule to and from Southampton with 54 additional flights over the holiday period to meet demand on some of its most popular routes, including those to Belfast City, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.

Many passengers will be taking advantage of having a wide choice of convenient codeshare connections from their closest regional airport. From there, they are travelling to/from the many long-haul destinations available at the many international hub airports served by Flybe all on one convenient, seamless booking, including those such as  New York, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
