The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) hosted their annual Professional Development Conference which was proudly sponsored by LOCALiQ and the Southern Daily Echo. Taking place online from the 15th-22nd July, it proved to be a huge success with the FHT members, receiving over 3500 attendee views across the fortnight.
Hosted online, the event consisted of 35 pre-recorded seminars and 15 live webinars, which was presented by recognised industry professionals, FHT members and FHT Accredited Course Providers across the Complementary, Beauty and Sports sectors.
Feedback from FHT members at the event said:
• “It was empowering. I enjoyed focusing on the event and putting time aside to cover a variety of topics.”
• “The whole two weeks have been excellent. I have gained all my CPD requirements for this year at a very reasonable cost.”
• “I love the virtual nature of the conference, enabling flexibility to access so much learning, live or retrospectively.”
FHT’s CEO, Monica Price, said: “I am delighted that this year’s conference has been such a success with our members. The quality of the speakers this year was fantastic, and this has helped many gain their important CPD points. At FHT we strive to ensure that Complementary, Beauty and Sports therapists are represented and have the recognition they deserve.”
Looking onto next year, FHT will be exploring a hybrid event, featuring both virtual and in- person seminars and activities, to cater to all attendee requirements. The in-person event will
be exhibited at next year’s Holistic Health conference in Coventry, providing time for members to network with one another face-to-face.
