Fast-growing Kombucha brand, Hip Pop, has partnered with Gather & Gather at LinkedIn, London, to help LinkedIn employees improve their gut health and overall wellbeing.
The partnership, which is part of LinkedIn’s company-wide efforts to support employees and managers, will see the tech giant provide Hip Pop’s award-winning Kombucha to all employees at its London headquarters.
Vegan and gluten free, each can of the healthy, sparkling fermented soft drink contains live active cultures backed by science to support employees’ gut health which, in turn, has been proven to boost workplace wellness and performance.
To mark the launch of the partnership, Hip Pop held a tasting event at LinkedIn’s offices in Farringdon so employees could sample its most popular flavours.
Natalia Torcato, Catering Manager at LinkedIn London, said: “Employers have a pivotal role to play in helping their people thrive and, for employees, having good mental health is critical to doing their jobs well.
“Research shows an intrinsic link between gut health and mental health, and this is why we have partnered with Hip Pop to incorporate a strong gut health component in our wellness programme, providing our teams with great tasting Kombucha full of gut friendly bacteria to help their microbiomes.”
Emma Thackray, Co-Founder of Hip Pop, said: “We are extremely proud to announce the launch of our partnership with Gather & Gather and LinkedIn.
“Gut health has long been an issue that has affected people at work. In fact, the IBS Network estimates Britain’s businesses lose almost £3 billion every year through sick days related to gut health, and up to three quarters of sufferers have reported taking up to five days off work each year.
“With this in mind, it’s great to see forward-thinking companies like LinkedIn offering tasty, healthy soft drink options to their employees to prioritise their gut health as part of their workplace wellness programmes.”
Originally launched in Altrincham in 2019 by friends Emma Thackray and Kenny Goodman, Hip Pop has been recognised by multiple industry awards and was awarded two stars at the Great Taste Awards, as well as being named Best Organic Kombucha Brand 2021 at the LUXlife Food & Drink Awards and being nominated for ‘Best Indie Drinks Producer’ at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival.
Since inception, the brand has gone from strength to strength, having secured listings with Harrods, Booths and Health Store and doubled its revenue each year.
