An Essex technology supplier has opened a new office in Ilford, backed by a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK.
Techcube, which sells and installs retail management systems and intruder alarms, has purchased a 2,500 sq. ft. unit in the Acorn Centre, Ilford, using a commercial mortgage from HSBC UK. The new site consists of a warehouse, office space and dedicated parking. Additionally, the company plans to open a new demonstration room, so customers can test products before purchasing.
The 50 per cent increase in office space will enable Techcube to expand its team, with plans to hire up to ten more staff members this year, and two already recruited. This includes roles across sales, installation and technical support.
The 1200 sq. ft of warehouse space also allows the company to store all of its products under one roof, reducing money spent on storage containers while giving staff more efficient access to stock. The enhanced warehouse space also gives Techcube the option to import and store greater quantities of stock so it can fulfil larger orders.
Vimal Maheswaran, Director at Techcube, said: “This new site marks a significant milestone in our growth journey. The increased space will enable us to expand our operations and recruit more talent, enhancing our ability to deliver a top-notch service to our clients.
“With this important step completed, we are excited to begin broadening Techcube’s capabilities with financial solutions, payment solutions, and online platforms for warehouse management. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive suite of services that cater to our clients’ evolving needs.”
David Cox, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, added: “Techcube has been a customer of HSBC UK’s since 2009. In that time, we have seen the company go from strength to strength, and are delighted to support the opening of its new site. We look forward to seeing Techcube continue its recruitment drive, providing new job opportunities to the local area in Essex.”
Founded in 2007, Techcube provides security and management systems supply and installation for business and residential clients across London and Essex. The company’s clients include Nisa, Costcutter, Londis and Best-One.
