EdTech company Teachify’s pilot programme reduces teacher lesson preparation time by 70%

Teachify, a pioneering educational technology company founded by Ikum Kandola and Frank Crossley in 2023, has successfully launched pilot programmes across the West Midlands, setting a new benchmark in teacher efficiency. Findings from the extensive pilot revealed that the company’s state-of-the-art lesson planning software significantly reduces lesson preparation time for teachers by up to 70%.

During this revolutionary pilot programme, Teachify offered more than 60 teachers and tutors from across the West Midlands free access to their lesson planning software in the hopes that it would reduce teacher and tutor workload.

The Teachify Engine offers teaching resources for various science (including Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science) and creative subjects (such as Drama and Theatre), made to align with UK’s OCR, EdExcel, and AQA exam board specifications for A Levels and GCSEs, with plans to expand its offerings.

In an era where teachers face increasing workload pressures, Teachify offers a much-needed respite, enabling educators to focus more on delivering high-quality teaching and less on the time-consuming task of lesson planning.

The Pilot Results

Early statistics from the pilot programmes indicate a remarkable 70% reduction in planning time for participating teachers, alongside a 15% decrease in workplace-related stress among teachers. The pilot has been run for schools, private tutors and even supply teacher agencies.

On the success of the pilot programme, Ikum Kandola, Founder & Managing Director of Teachify, said: “We are thrilled to see the impact our AI lesson planning software has already made in the West Midlands. It’s not just about saving time; it’s about maintaining a high standard of quality for our education. The success of our pilot is a big step towards our vision of redefining the action of lesson planning and the education sector as a whole! I am very much looking forward to continuing working with the team to make that a reality.”

You can try the software for free for a limited time on the Teachify website.
