EDGE Creative, a creative marketing agency based in Sutton Coldfield, has collaborated with Birmingham City University (BCU) over the past several months on numerous exciting projects.
The EDGE team have been assisting BCU with structuring a few university modules pertaining to the marketing sector to better equip their students in preparation for the industry. They have spent time visiting the university for meetings, insight days and presentations to help shape new digital courses offered to students. In addition to this, both BCU and EDGE Creative have cooperated on educational blog pieces – including how web development is evolving and how students can reflect this in their portfolio.
EDGE Creative’s Creative Director, Louise Panayides, said, “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Birmingham City University. I believe it’s important for employers to invest in young talent and dedicate time to nurture university students and recent graduates to better equip them for the working world.”
One of the team’s content creators, Shenell Lewinson, stated, “As a recent university graduate, I think it’s important for courses to be more holistic by teaching students how to apply their knowledge to real-life working scenarios. Therefore, with these new course implementations, students should find adjusting into the marketing industry much smoother.”
