More than 100 professionals from across the region met last week at Chester Racecourse to celebrate five years of DJH in the City.
The fast-growing accountancy and professional group moved into Chester with the acquisition of Morris & Co on Cheshire Oaks Business Park in 2021 and, since then, has seen revenues rise from £3.5m to £8m following the integration of Haines Watts Chester into the business last year.
DJH’s Cheshire presence is further complemented by the firm’s Liverpool city centre footprint and recently acquired SB&P in nearby Bootle, taking its total revenue across these four offices to nearly £14m.The headcount for DJH in these two areas has also risen by 90 people to 152, 40 of whom are trainees being supported to become the next generation of accountants and finance specialists.
“We recognised early on the potential that Cheshire and Liverpool offered and have spent the last five years building an accountancy and professional services offer that understands the local market and has the necessary resource – across auditing, accounting, tax and corporate finance – to unlock its potential,” explained Desirie Lea, Director at DJH Chester.
“The last twelve months have seen us more than double in size and there are plans in place for us to increase revenues across the region to £16m by 2027 – this will be achieved through organic growth and enhanced specialist services offered across the group.”
She continued: “The event was about celebrating our commitment to Cheshire and Liverpool. We brought together over 100 professionals from across the region, including accountants, business advisers, solicitors, bankers, and other specialists, for an evening of networking and conversation.
“We believe the best outcomes for clients happen when the right people know each other and work together. This celebration was a great opportunity to strengthen those connections and to celebrate what’s been a remarkable period of growth for us here.”
