Derby digital marketers JDR Group’s landmark office move gives it twice the space to innovate, expand and grow

A Derby digital marketing agency says it has created new space to innovate, expand and grow after it doubled its floorspace by locating to bigger offices.

JDR Group has moved from into a 2,938 sq ft office on the Wyvern Business Park, on the other side of Pride Park from its previous base in Brunel Parkway, its home for the past 12 years.

It is the latest step in a current rapid growth period for JDR Group, which gives digital marketing support to more than 200 SMEs across the UK and is one of only a handful of British companies to have earned Elite Partner status from global customer relationship platform HubSpot.

It now employs 40 staff and has made its name by combining its marketing with offering business support to help its clients actively grow their companies alongside generating new leads and attracting new customers.

This approach is a legacy of JDR Group’s early days, when it started life in 2004 as a business mentoring and coaching firm, having been founded by David Roberts, Will Williamson and Leanne Mordue.

All three still head the company, which diversified into online marketing in 2007, having spotted an opportunity to use the growing power of digital media to spread the word on behalf of their clients.

David Roberts, the company’s managing director, said: “This move is a major landmark for JDR Group and it’s a wonderful step forward for us to take in our 20th year and at a time when technology is creating incredible changes in our industry.

“It’s vital that we stay at the forefront of those changes and the new offices will help us to do that, because we have extra space and a larger boardroom to bring staff together for training, invite clients and bring in external consultants.

“It will also allow us to experiment with technology to explore what’s possible and where we should be looking to innovate in the future. There is so much potential with new tools like AI, and while it will mean that some roles may no longer be necessary, it will also mean new roles are created, many of which we simply aren’t aware of yet.”

JDR Group offers a full range of digital marketing services including SEO, web design, social media and content marketing. It has built more than 1,000 websites for its clients in its time and has analysed and audited the marketing operation of more than 250 businesses.
