Derby accountancy and business advisors to host FREE webinar for companies ahead of tax year and Rushi Sunak’s 2021 budget

A Derby accountancy and business advisory company will host a free webinar next week helping companies to get to grips with their finances.

Duffield Road-based Vibrant Accountancy are to host the webinar on Thursday, February 25 at 3.30pm to help businesses learn what their key financial report tells them about the company, identify strengths, weaknesses and trends and to discover why their bank account balance may not reflect profit.

Beverley Wakefield, Co-Founder of Vibrant Accountancy, said: “There has been so much jargon around over the past year and having support – and the knowledge – to help grow your business is so important right now.

“In the webinar – called ‘Know Your Numbers’ – the team at Vibrant will go through key topics such as how to use your numbers to identify and avoid potential issues before they occur, boost cash levels to minimise business risks and how to measure your business efficiency to drive improvement.

“Never before has it been so important to keep an eye on your numbers, plus with the fast approaching end of the 2020-21 tax year it’s important to keep your business accounts up to date, and considering what you can do personally to save some tax or extract some value from your business; that’s where we can help and, hopefully, business owners will be able to take lots of useful information away from our webinar.

“We are also well aware that there is a budget next month, so we’ll be touching on that briefly, too.”

Bev, who previously worked at Cooper Parry; the accountancy and business advisors whose head office is in Castle Donington, set up Vibrant Accountancy with business partner Ian Ball in September 2019, also ex-Cooper Parry.

They recruited a fourth new team member in less than 12 months just before Christmas, with Katie Hirst – who looks after the company’s book-keeping, accounts and, predominantly, payroll – joining Samantha Carter-Roe, Vibrant’s chief book-keeper, office co-ordinator Lynn McCabe and Emma Vicars; head of accounting.

Vibrant Accountancy pride themselves on their ‘human nature approach’ and support for small businesses – several who are based or selling from the city – making them different to most accountancy firms.

Bev added: “As business owners, Ian and I know how lonely it can be at times; we get it – we know where they are headed and the challenges they will face along the way.

“We want to help others succeed and be seen as an extension of their team, as well as helping them with their finances,” she said.
