Julie Teague, an award winning female entrepreneur, with an enviable career background of roles ranging from FD, CFO, MD and co-founder in marketing agencies, e-commerce and Venture Partners, is no stranger to delivering successful business growth for others.
Julie expressed her excitement in taking a leap of faith to run her own consultancy full-time, saying “I’ve run businesses for others and simply thought it’s time I did it for myself, at the same time as supporting others, it’s a win-win”.
Julie has been dubbed the “The CFO Swan” for her ability to help businesses navigate growing pains whilst keeping a calm head through some very challenging environments.
Since making the switch, Julie has been inundated with requests for her March launch with books already close to capacity until July.
“All bookings have been inbound from LinkedIn and network referrals, it’s been mind blowing” says Teague. “I buzz off the energy. Partnering with leaders of ambitious businesses suits my personality and mindset. I love to be hands-on, working side by side with amazing people distilling decades of my financial expertise into actionable steps to solve the headaches of growing pains”
According to recent statistics, start ups with a CFO are 20% more likely to reach round two of funding than those without, yet many businesses struggle to find the right support when they need it the most. Julie says “given the turnover of many of the businesses I support, a full time FD or CFO simply isn’t affordable, having me as a fractional CFO allows them to tap into skills and expertise in a stress free and affordable way.”
There are already plans on the horizon for expansion, expanding the resource with other carefully selected partners and building out a training platform curated around the most commonly requested services.
