Staff from CR Worldwide (CR) have taken part in a three-year drive to fundraise for The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) Service from July 2015 to 2018, raising £11,480 and smashing an original target of £5,100, to fund 3 helicopter missions.
The fundraiser featured a variety of initiatives over the course of the period, including:
- Car wash challenge
- Laying out a mile of pound coins
- Ongoing snack honesty box in the office
- Bupa 10k run
- Night riding
- Numerous bake-offs
- Team lunches
- Lowest bid auction
- Clothes to the local Air Ambulance shop
- Christmas jumper day
- Quiz Night
On top of internal initiatives, the recognition and events programme provider made charitable donations an option within the rewards catalogue on their points banking loyalty platform. This meant that individuals who were earning reward points, from over 100 companies, had the option to donate points from their account to WNAA on an ad-hoc basis. Of the total, these donations equated to £3,582.63.
David Gould, CEO at CR, said: “We are thrilled to have exceeded our original target, and are proud to be donating such a substantial amount to such a worthy cause. To know that the team’s efforts, paired with the generosity of our programme users, will fund six rapid-response missions, is a wonderful achievement.”
The Air Ambulance Service operates the national Children’s Air Ambulance and the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. Their vision is clear: they want children to grow into adults, adults to live longer and bereavement through trauma to become rare.
Each of their services works tirelessly to save lives and alleviate sickness, wherever and whenever possible.

They’ve been a great partner and truly embraced a diverse range of engaging with us from organising events to supporting our shops with recycling.”
She continued: “I’d like to say a big thank you to David and all his staff for everything they achieved and hope they will have an immense sense of pride when they see our helicopters flying, knowing they’ve helped to keep us flying and saving lives.”
The Air Ambulance operates two local air ambulances services serve a total of five counties over Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. These two helicopters provide a rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies over an area of 3850 square miles. They cover many of the UK’s major road networks including the M1, M6, M69 and M42. With an average response of just 13 minutes, between them they attend on average six missions a day.
