Children’s lawyer shortlisted as Worcester’s Barrister of the Year

Jason Hadden MBE, a Barrister at St Ives Chambers in Birmingham who specialises in children’s law has been nominated and shortlisted in the prestigious Worcestershire Law Society’s annual legal awards. Jason has been shortlisted in the category of Barrister of the Year. Jason who regularly advises on radio for the BBC, LBC and TalkRadio said how excited he was to be nominated, “it is a great honour to be recognised in this category by such a supportive Law Society. It has been a great year for my chambers and this just goes to highlight what an incredible region this is to work in.”

In the last year Jason has been engaged in cases involving female genital mutilation, domestic violence, international child abduction and parental alienation. Jason confirmed, “I work in an area of law which is often absolutely heart-breaking, representing victims of abuse and trying to act in the best welfare interests of children. It is a wonderful honour to be shortlisted.”
