Excitement is building for an inspirational Lincolnshire businesswoman who is thrilled to learn that her venture has reached the finals of a prestigious national contest.
The Chief Executive of the Lincoln-based Naomi Watkins Counselling Hub (NWCH CIC), Naomi Watkins-Ligudzinska and her 25-strong team have impressed judges and been shortlisted in the inaugural Business Success Recognition Awards.
News that NWCH is a finalist in the Customer Care Team of the Year category, comes after judges independently judged more than 600 entries across a range of awards categories.
Now Naomi and members of her Management Team are looking forward to travelling to Birmingham for the Recognition Awards ceremony at Birmingham’s Eastside Rooms on Saturday, June 18.
From its launch over five years ago, NWCH has put customer care at the heart of everything it does and this can be seen in many different ways.
However, it has never been more evident than at the height of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Naomi and her staff were determined their clients’ recovery would not be derailed and, to that end, they transitioned from face-to-face counselling to provide therapy online and over the telephone. Amazingly, the team’s efforts resulted in the Hub supporting 800 people a month!
Since then, it has become increasingly obvious that the Pandemic has left more people than ever in need of therapy. This is why NWCH, snaps up every opportunity to bid to grant funders, such as the National Lottery, for support so that it can continue to help everyone from children to elderly people in need to get their lives back on track.
Thirdly, Naomi is not only proud to lead a very diverse and capable team of professionals, she also provides top class training to the rising numbers of people who want to become the therapists of tomorrow.
Business Success Recognition Awards’ Founder Stacey Calder established the competition (which is sponsored by Breal Credit Management) to “celebrate the fantastic work being done by businesses and individuals within the UK Business Community.”
“These awards come at a critical time where recognition for small businesses is critical. It makes me incredibly proud to be able to give a platform for small businesses to not only recognise their achievements, but to give them a way to raise their profile and showcase what they do.
“Visibility is key to a business at any time but, with lockdown restrictions and everything that Covid brought with it, right now it’s vital,” added Stacey.
