Digital marketing specialists started 2021 in confident mood despite the current Coronavirus lockdown which has created more challenges for businesses across a wide range of industries.
Quirkily branded I Want Fish & Chips, which is headed by partners Ben and Teri Wright, is being kept on its toes after winning a raft of new work over in the final few months of 2020.
“We are delighted to report that we have doubled our client base over the past four months. I am extremely happy and proud that businesses trust us to carry out their digital marketing. We have been extremely fortunate to have been in a position to take on new clients and grow as a business,” said Ben.
“We work with a lot of franchise-sector businesses, which can include anything from gyms to business brokers. It’s all about making sure the content we produce follows their individual band guidelines and supports their national campaigns.”
“We have a couple of clients in the B2C (Business to Consumer) category, but the majority are B2B (Business to Business) clients.
Scunthorpe-based I Want Fish & Chips, was established in 2014. Traditionally, its clients have been spread across the country, but most of their newest customers are based in Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties.
Teri said that, in today’s highly competitive environment, winning new business takes plenty of effort. The best, and most satisfying, route to building their client base is when other happy customers recommend I Want Fish & Chips.
“We have generated more clients through existing client referrals and business contacts backed up by a strong social presence. When businesses are looking to do more on social media, they are hesitant and trust is a big factor in who they choose,” she said.
“For many, social media is their main source of business and a direct one-on-one channel with their customers or potential customers. They need a partner they can trust to interact with them and represent them.
“In the case of our newer clients, they mainly came to us after initial meetings over Zoom and Google Meet. Socially distanced meetings were also carried out when we were allowed to do so,” said Teri.
“The increase in new clients has allowed us to invest more in providing a better and more streamlined service. In particular, we have invested in new software which allows clients to view their social media content – as it would appear on the popular social media channels. This means they can approve it or advise if they want it amending before it goes live. The feedback from clients has been fantastic.”
I Want Fish & Chips also assists businesses with audience growth, website development and graphic design.
