As more than 79% of UK consumers change their purchasing preference in order to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle, brands and retailers are being encouraged to carry out more eco-friendly and ethical practices. In line with this new trend leading art-retailer, Castle Fine Art, has evolved many aspects of its business to provide more environmentally friendly operations.
Swapping simple practices within marketing, delivery services and framing logistics has meant that Castle Fine Art has increased its sustainability measures across the business. By working with suppliers such as Larson-Juhl, Acorn Press and Think Ambient, Castle Fine Art’s eco-conscious clients can shop at the fine art gallery with confidence.
Castle Fine Art has chosen to work with Acorn Press for its literature print, as the company is proud to be ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 registered and are also FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody certified, supporting the environment, and aligning with the company’s values and pledge to be more eco-friendly. Think Ambient, another preferred supplier of the fine art retailer, provides the UK-wide network of 37 galleries with window vinyl prints made from a minimum of 80% recycled plastic.
Ian Weatherby-Blythe, Group Managing Director at Castle Fine Art, comments:
“As a company, we’ve always had a commitment to our clients and meeting their expectations, so with this in mind we have made several changes to the operations at Castle Fine Art to ensure that we are operating with a more environmentally friendly approach. From changing our packaging, to utilising QR codes in place of single-use materials, these adaptations to our logistics not only make for a more environmentally friendly business approach, but ultimately enhance the client experience.”
Castle Fine Art’s commitment to sustainability and the future goes beyond its operations, as the company prides itself on working with artists who also share the same passion. Bob Oxley, Richard Rowen, Alfie Bowen, and Steve Winterburn are a few amongst the many that are as equally committed to wildlife and conservation efforts. From highlighting wildlife and conservation issues through its collections of original and limited edition artworks, to implementing new eco-friendly business practices, the fine art retailer is set to reduce its environmental impact with its long-term pledge to be more environmentally friendly.
“At Castle Fine Art it’s important to us that our artists, suppliers and associates have the same values and vision as we do, so it’s been a pleasure to work with our long-term partners who are helping us to make a difference,” continued, Ian.
