Cargo Express expands business offering with new additions to fleet

Leading transport and logistics company Cargo Express have continued their business growth by adding three new vehicles to their fleet.

Operating out of Birmingham and Telford, the logistics experts provide transport, logistics, customs and warehousing solutions across the UK and internationally, delivering to more than 2000 destinations every week.

The expansion of their vehicle fleet with two new Scania R460 trucks and a Renault Master Low Loader is the latest in a long line of developments to the business focused on providing better logistics services to their clients.

Earlier this year Cargo Express also expanded their team, employing highly trained individuals in preparation for the customs declaration changes from the current CHIEF system to the new CDS. They now offer a fully managed customs declaration service that ensures the seamless import and export of clients’ goods across the UK, Europe and beyond, including acting as Importer of Record and supporting with the preparation and submission of all necessary documentation.

This comes on top of becoming one of the few firms in its class to achieve the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Earned Recognition Accreditation, which showcases their commitment to meeting driver and vehicle standards, as well as road safety measures.

Their diverse fleet which includes everything from vans and small curtain trucks to double-decker and EU mega spec trailers allows for a more bespoke and adaptable logistics service capable of meeting the ever-changing requirements of clients, from handling different types and qualities of goods to the unloading challenges faced at some destinations.

Managing Director of Cargo Express, Joseph O’Reilly said: “It’s an exciting period for us. We’re always looking to invest in the fleet, drivers, and other team members to ensure we provide customers with the highest standard of services in the logistics industry. It is humbling to be in a position where we can move into 2023 with solid investments and opportunities.”

Joseph and the Cargo Express team are already preparing for further increases to their operating fleet in 2023 as their business continues to grow, with a further thirteen vehicles and multiple trailers on order and due in the next few months.
