A brewery in Somerset which became one of the first in the country to offer nationwide delivery of fresh craft beers direct to customers’ doors is expanding the service after proving such a hit with beer lovers.
Epic Beers launched its Beer Drive-Thru “Click n Collect” and delivery service amid the coronavirus pandemic to ensure customers could still taste their top freshly-brewed tipples no matter where they live in the UK – and the delivery range is now being expanded to meet increasing demand.
Epic produces beers from two distinct ranges – Pitchfork and 3D Beers – from its base in Weston-Super-Mare.
With a 30-year-history, the Pitchfork range is a firm favourite among beer lovers and features 100% British beer made using traditional styles in tried and tested flavours.
Its 3D range is at the cutting edge of cult craft beer, using modern techniques and international ingredients to produce exciting flavours that have become popular with new and old beer fans alike.
Epic Beers Director, David Turner, said: “Craft beer is now more popular than ever, but independent breweries like ourselves took a major hit when pubs and restaurants were forced to shut due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“As an industry, we’ve managed to reinvent and reimagine the image of craft beer to attract a new generation of customers, whilst retaining our traditional following, over recent years with a little bit of imagination and innovation.
“The coronavirus pandemic threw another hurdle at us with the closure of the hospitality industry, which is our main market, so we’ve had no choice but to adapt. Times are depressing enough at the moment, so it was our mission to bring a bit of normality to our customers’ lives with the delivery of their favourite fresh beers straight to the door when they couldn’t get out to the pub.
“Fresh beer is the best beer, without question, so our challenge was finding a way to deliver beers at their optimum state across the whole of the UK. We’re delighted to say we became one of the first in the country to achieve that, with weekly deliveries of fresh beers taking place nationwide. The service has proved so popular that we’re now extending the range of beers we deliver to meet the increasing demand.”
The Pitchfork range is available for nationwide delivery along with carefully crafted specials from the 3D range and a selection of real craft ciders.
National deliveries take place every Thursday and Friday and a daily Click & Collect service is available in Weston-Super-Mare.
