BCRS Business Loans to bring Christmas spirit to business community with popular annual lunch

Loan provider BCRS Business Loans will bring representatives from the West Midlands business community together for its popular Christmas diners club lunch event.

Christmas jumpers and a festive quiz will be the order of the day when guests gather for the Worcestershire Diners Club (WDC) networking lunch at Worcester Racecourse in Grand Stand Road on Thursday November 30.

As well as opportunities to network with business colleagues from across the region, the event will include a two-course lunch and the chance for teams to compete in a Christmas-theme quiz.

BCRS Business Loans a Cooperative, which recently celebrated 21 years in business, works with SMEs unable to access finance from traditional sources, to enable them to secure loans from between £10,000 and £150,000 to support growth and recovery plans.

Business Development Manager Angie Preece, who covers the Worcester region, will host the event.

A social impact report from BCRS for the most recent financial year showed BCRS lent £6.5m to 72 businesses, safeguarding 999 jobs and creating 473 roles, adding £33.7m in value to the economy of the West Midlands and surrounding region.

The 2022/23 report showed 50 per cent of funding went to the UK’s top 35 per cent most disadvantaged areas, with 16 per cent going to female-led businesses and 14 per cent to ethnic minority-led firms.

A recent Black Country BCRS Business Loans dining club event saw more than 70 business guests from across the region enjoy an afternoon of food, networking and expert economic insights at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton.

The event, held on September 26, included a presentation by guest speaker Tom Berry, Head of UK Regions, Business & Commercial Banking Markets (BCB) at Lloyds Bank, provide delegates with valuable insights into inflation, employment rates and interest rates.
