Oldham-based IT Support firm Aspect IT is proud to celebrate a significant milestone for one of it’s employees who has just marked 16 years with the company.
Ian Heywood started out with the firm as Helpdesk Team Leader back in 2009, bringing his already extensive background in Managed Service Providers (MSP) based business with him to the role and assisting with the implementation of various new processes and systems.
This included the organisation’s first remote management system, which allowed them to remotely support their clients quicker, and a backup imaging solution, which provided the first levels of disaster recovery for client servers.
Ian is now Project Manager and his responsibilities include overseeing system and server upgrades, disaster recovery management, Office 365 projects, and new systems implementations.
Cybersecurity also plays an integral part in Ian’s role with him being the key person to help Aspect IT’s clients gain Cyber Essentials certification.
