Property developer and investor CEG has appointed FHP and Fisher German to market the first phase of commercial development at the former Vesuvius site on Sandy Lane, Worksop.
The revival of this business destination is underway following a £5.5million investment to deliver a major new entrance roundabout, access road and site remediation, enabled through a grant award from D2N2 to kick start this brownfield development.
Asda is already on site delivering a new 70,000 sq ft foodstore and petrol filling station which will open in the New Year, creating 200 new jobs.
The two Nottinghamshire agents are marketing over 385,000 sq ft of commercial space offering industrial units from 1,200 sq ft up to 300,000 sq ft. With the land remediated and a planning permission in place, opportunities for fast track design and build are available.
The first phase will see 42,050 sq ft of speculative workspace being delivered on a range of flexible terms. This will provide a range of space of up to approximately 5,000 sq ft but can be merged for larger requirements.
The units are expected to be popular due to the site’s location adjacent to the A57, offering easy access to the A1 and M1 motorways. The excellent labour pool in Nottinghamshire and the proactive nature of Bassetlaw District Council will also appeal.
