Northamptonshire agency shortlisted for Best Place to Work after team nominations

A Northamptonshire digital marketing agency has been shortlisted for a national Best Place to Work award after being nominated by its own employees.

Loop Digital, which is based at The Granary at Blisworth Hill Farm, is a finalist in the Best Place to Work category at the national Business Buzz Awards.

Four team members nominated the agency, praising its family-first flexible working arrangements, investment in professional development and culture of trust and support.

The business employs 10 people in Northampton and a further 10 in India. Over the past 12 months, the company has introduced a range of initiatives following an employee survey across both offices, asking staff what they valued and where improvements could be made.

These include a nine-day fortnight, giving employees every other Friday off, birthday leave, sabbatical leave options, regular team socials and lunches, and unlimited access to online learning platform Udemy.

Laura Stanton, Operations Director and part-owner of Loop Digital, who oversees HR and employee wellbeing, said: “All the awards we have previously won or been a finalist for have been important to Loop Digital, but this one is particularly close to my heart because we were nominated by our own team.

“People spend so much of their lives working. If we can create a supportive and flexible environment that helps alleviate some of life’s stresses and gives people the opportunity to thrive, that means a great deal to me as an employer.

“We run a ‘family-first’ environment. We don’t want working parents to miss precious school assemblies or sports days, and we recognise that medical appointments can be difficult to arrange. We work around those commitments wherever we can.”

Loop has also established shared working processes that allow colleagues to pick up tasks when someone needs to take time away unexpectedly, helping employees deal with personal emergencies without the pressure of arranging a handover.

Its Northamptonshire workplace complements that approach. Based in a converted barn surrounded by countryside, the team can enjoy lunchtime walks through nearby bluebell woodland or around the lake, alongside outdoor seating and an on-site café.

Loop’s employee benefits package also includes membership of the business park’s tenant-only gym, which is open 24 hours a day and offers waterside views.

In her nomination, employee Anamaria Gavrila highlighted the agency’s approach to wellbeing and development.

She said: “What stands out most to me is the sense of trust. People are given the freedom to do their jobs well, to contribute ideas and to be themselves, while knowing there’s a team around them that will genuinely support them when needed. It creates an environment where people want to do well because they feel valued and part of something.”

Laura added: “We asked our people what mattered to them and where we could improve, then used that feedback to make meaningful changes. We have a really strong team and want to give them every reason to stay. That means supporting them through life’s challenges, recognising their contribution and investing in skills they can carry throughout their careers.”

The winners will be announced at the Business Buzz Awards ceremony at Mitchell Hall in Bedfordshire on Thursday 26 November 2026.
