The Hart School is jubilant as it continues to clock up exam success with more students than ever before being awarded grade 8s and 9s in their GCSEs.
Pupils at the Creative Education Trust school have achieved “strong results” in English, with 79% passing Language and/or Literature, 47 grade 9s in photography, and “great results” for its Creative iMedia and Performing Arts vocational courses.
Notable student successes include: Rachael Freeman 8 x grade 9s, 1 x grade 8 and 1 x Distinction; Lizzie Glynn 4 x grade 9s, 4x grade 8s and 1 x grade 5; Isabelle Fielding 6 x grade 8s, 3 x grade 7s and 1 x distinction; Megan Win 1 x grade 9, 3 x grade 8, 3 x grade 7, 1 x grade 6, a distinction and a merit; Lea Foster 1 x grade 9, 1 grade 8, 5 x grade 7s and 1 x distinction*; and Ewan Freeman 1 x grade 9, 2 x grade 8s, 2 x grade 7s, 2 x grade 6s, 1 x grade 5 and 1 x D.
Many pupils will move into the Rugeley school’s Sixth Form, which celebrated continued A Level success last week and over three-quarters of its students off to university or starting higher apprenticeships.
Principal Ms Rachael Sandham said: “It’s fantastic to see this continued exam success across the school, with our students achieving great GCSE results across a wide range of subjects.
“To see more pupils than ever before achieving the highest grades is also testament to their hard work, determination and resilience.
