Grove West teams up with law firm to grow housing knowledge

Birmingham property consultancy Grove West has teamed up with national law firm Anthony Collins to widen expert knowledge of housing disrepair.

The partnership aims to give legal professionals practical insights into the responsibilities and obligations of surveyors involved in housing disrepair litigation.

As part of the link-up, Grove West director and chartered building surveyor Lee Higgs and business manager Chelsea Davies led a joint session on professional protocol and procedural standards from a building surveyor’s perspective when involved in housing disrepair matters.

Key areas covered included the duties of an expert witness under civil procedure rules, the importance of unbiased and independent evidence gathering and housing inspections.

Grove West director and chartered building surveyor Lee Higgs said the collaboration formed part of Anthony Collins Solicitors’ continued commitment to professional development, ensuring its legal teams remained informed and aware of the role of building surveyors.
